About Tosa Knives

Using traditional forging methods and combining different materials at high temperatures, we create a strong, resilient, high-quality product that won't bend or break.

FAQs

We forge, polish, and finish each piece by hand, one by one. Therefore, there may be slight individual differences. However, this does not affect the quality.

If you were to choose one knife to start with, we recommend the Santoku knife. It can handle a variety of foods, including vegetables, meat, and fish. If you are cooking at home, you should have two knives: a Gyutou and a Petty knife. In addition, a deba knife is helpful if you cook a lot of fish, and a thin-bladed knife is useful if you often use vegetables.

A kitchen knife is a tool that has long been considered sacred in the human diet. Even today, knives are used as lucky charms to celebrate life, such as cutting the ribbon at an opening ceremony or cutting a cake at a wedding. The gift of a kitchen knife is an auspicious way to celebrate a new beginning.
